CEOs Experience..

With over 13 years' experience with Medicaid, SNAP, Medicare and Case Management we are excited to be a part of an industry that is growing rapidly. A lot of people want to know how we got started or what inspired us to get into homecare. The story behind what inspired us to get started, I would say change.

The Story...

So, in 2017 we were blessed with our first child together name is Chris. Throughout the pregnancy we had a good pregnancy, a healthy pregnancy. We were very excited to add to our family. In the blink of an eye, everything changed quickly. On August 19, 2017, our water broke. Now, we knew our life was changing, but we didn’t know that it was changing in such a way. On August 20, 2017, Chris was born. What an exciting day! A few hours later we were woken up by the nurse stating our son had stopped breathing and he was rushed down to ICU. Immediately we ran down to see and be with our son. Later, we found out he suffered from traumatic brain injury. See throughout my labor and delivery his heart rate went in the 80s not just once but several times. We put our trust into the doctors, we just knew everything would be right at that moment. As soon as we laid our eyes on him, we knew something was wrong. Fast forward to taking him home he suffered with seizures, a feeding tube and developmental delays. He is nonverbal and has mobility issues. We didn’t know the services that were offered raising a child with special needs. All we knew is that we were chosen to be his parents, and we had to do what God trusted us to do for his son who now is our son.

Our son has gone through so many challenges throughout the seven years of his life. We have been turned down from childcare due to his disability. We have experienced challenges in schools. Due to his level of care one of us is unable to work due to his needs. So, we decided why not start a company so we can help people who are just like us. Yes, our children are loved in a unique way but they’re different than no one else on this earth. We have witnessed people with disabilities being mistreated and witness it through our son. We want to have the opportunity of being the voice for our community of individuals with disabilities. Changing lives, being the family member
with the helping hand that a lot of parents that don’t have. We also create a unique place where they can feel free and safe. We are here to provide Genuine care for every unique need. We are happy to call you family here at Gracious Living Homecare.
